Bahçelievler Municipality 1st International Urban Transformation Summit

Bahçelievler Municipality 1st International Urban Transformation Summit brings together local and international experts to ensure that urban transformation in cities at risk of earthquakes is handled with a planned approach. The Summit serves as an important platform for sharing information and experiences, where current approaches and successful practice examples will be shared in line with the goals of reducing disaster risks, sustainable spatial development, and creating livable urban environments.

The summit, which will be held with the participation of academics, urban planners, architects, engineers, public administrators, and sector representatives, will address many fundamental topics related to the urban transformation process, primarily including earthquake risk and building safety, financing and implementation models, environmental sustainability, and smart city and digital planning applications. Expert participants in their fields will share their knowledge and experiences regarding the planning, design, and implementation phases of urban transformation with the participants.

Through panels and sessions to be held within the scope of the summit, it is aimed to discuss solution proposals for structural and administrative problems encountered in urban transformation applications and to adapt international best practice examples to Turkey's planning and regulatory structure. In this framework, participants will also have the opportunity to communicate directly with experts from different countries and develop multidisciplinary collaborations.
